Burhouse Easter Woodworking Show (Replaces Scottish National Woodworking Show usually held at the SECC Glasgow)

Scotland's only major woodworking show of the season!

Demonstrators

Gerry Adkins - Wood Turning. Gerry is a favourite with witty banter and expert knowledge. Gerry is a practical woodturner. He sees what needs to be done, evaluating time spent versues commercials for each project. Gerry Is most known for turning large natural edge bowls.

Mike Linklater - Wood Turning. Mike learned to turn in 1992 with his great uncle. He went on to become a joiner and the served a 5 year apprenticeship in furniture restoration.Using his skills as a wood turner for many challenging and unusual circumstances. Mike has recently joined us at burhouse 2 as a member of staff and we wish him well in this endeavour. Mike is mostly known for his spindle work.

Exhibitors

Robert Sorby - represented by Chris Pouncy, Chris is hugely knowledgeable about the Sorby products and the wider tool market. Will demonstrate some of the new things from Robert Sorby. tips techniques and more. Specialist knowledge of the soverign deep hollowing system, Pro edge sharpening system, spiral and texturing techniques as well as mirco tools.

Festool - represented by Trevor Wilkinson. Anyone who has used these power tools will immediately know the importance of quality. Those new to the brand will be amazed by the overall concept and detail they put into ensuring ease of use and maximum efficiency in their use. Festool will be using a number of tools to make a practical object. Please ask to try out the tools and see for yourself.

Brimarc - represented by Matt Hulme. Matt is a very personable young man with excellent knowledge of Tormek sharpening system and kreg pocket holes. Brimarc are an exceptional company who only sell top quality equipment.

Bessey - represented by Billy Patterson. Bessey offer a fantastic range of super quality clamps for a wide range applications. ALmost indestructible these are worth every penny.

Jet Machinery - Represented by Nick Brown. The Jet brand is one many will be aware of but not everyone has had the opportunity to aprreciate and get to know this top end machinery brand. They have a unique range of drum sanders, possibly the top 12" planner/thicknesser  on the market, as well as a multitude of other style machines for various functions
